The area sits on Bundjalung Country and has long been valued for its coastal resources, vantage points, and connection to sea and land. Today, Byron Bay is recognised for places like Cape Byron, The Pass, Wategos, and Tallows, where shifting sand, reef, and swell create constantly changing shapes along the shoreline.
